Elevating the Soul is a resource for all the questions and concerns we generally have about life and about God. This site is about providing satisfactory answers to our deepest questions so that we may live the life we have always intended.
It is not easy to understand why the world is the way it is and why bad things happen, but there is a simple explanation for it. Why most people feel they are all alone and God has abandoned them is another problem, and is simple to change. On the other side we have the devout religious people who pray often and study their scriptures, but have no real idea about what God is, because they talk and read, but never listen to what is actually being said by God. Many believe the bible (or any other religious text) or a church is the cornerstone of their faith, and by believing this, they have missed the point.
There is no need to attack another beliefs, and this site has no desire to do that. For to attack another beliefs is show the attackers own beliefs may have some flaws. We shouldn’t march against war, but we should march for peace. The former likely results in more conflict, where as the latter, if peace is the true desire, results in more peace. That said, we do need to take a candid look at how many of us are leading our lives. There is a better way. This can be seem from the fact that many people are miserable or feel they are lacking something in their life.
Not attacking but instead helping and offering a different path is what this site is for; to provide discussion on key issues and help everyone-our world-be better than it was before. The ultimate goal is that everyone find peace of mind and soul.
Cory Mitchell: the founder of Elevating the Soul
Cory is a trader by profession, but began a spiritual journey about 11 years ago after he felt that religion had failed to answer the pertinent questions. Through working from home (and finding his own gratitude in life) and talking with others he found that many people are not satisfied with their life, their work, and their relationships. Not many people can really grasp what life was all about. Cory found that this results from a fundamental negative view of the world. Not that all the people themselves are outwardly negative, but their internal beliefs keep them from seeing the infinite possibilities we are being presented with. Many of these beliefs come from a misunderstanding of how God and universe work. It also comes from rigid belief structures – for if God is everything then it does not matter what an individual calls God or worships, for they are all the same thing (this will be explained in other areas of the site). Many people get caught up in “technicalities” and miss the entire point. These points will be addressed further on the site.
Cory has finished writing his first book which is currently under review with a publisher. His second book is underway. Cory’s trading website, and information on his financial publications, can be found at Vantage Point Trading. He is a Chartered Market Technician, and still helps people accomplish their financial goals on a part time basis.Cory actively writes material that inspires, uplifts and penetrates to the core of us. I am on my own journey and am trying to implement the principles and concepts I discuss on this site myself. I am not the teacher and you are not the student, rather we are both teacher and student. For any of us to label ourselves as superior to another is to miss the point. We are all one and come from the same Source, and so we are all here to help each other find our way back to that Source.
