One who understands much displays a greater simplicity of character than one who understands little.
Alexander Chase
Relating back some earlier “things to ponder” posts I don’t think is so much that anyone understands too little. Often we understand too much, over analyze, complicate, and create drama where there should be none. Knowledge and drama are falsely interpreted as wisdom. Yet, it is true that those that are peace with the world and them self, will seem to have a simple life (generalization, I know). The unfortunate thing is that some will condemn the person for this. But being in this state, the peaceful person will not care, for they know that this condemning has nothing to do with them personally.
We need only to understand enough so that we may be a light in the world.
When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.
Helen Keller
