This is one of my favorite meditations because it is so versatile and can be used for many different things. Following is one of its uses In the next article I will post a few other ways in which this mental-visual practice can be used.
I should point out, now that we are getting into creating visuals in the mind, that some people may feel they cannot create the image required. You may feel you are not creative or visual enough. On this note, I encourage you to try it regardless. Even if you can cannot create an image or a sensation vividly in your mind, simply the act of trying is very powerful. I am not naturally visually and actually find it hard to imagine pictures in my mind. Even so, going through this process is very powerful and will greatly aid you.
Meditative Tower Technique
You are now completely relaxed (using the methods mentioned earlier). Every muscle in your body is at ease, you feel like you are sinking into the chair you are sitting in. You have visualized your ideal peaceful setting, and as you look around you see a forest in the distance.
You walk towards the forest and enter it. The forest is lush around you. It is friendly and inviting as you continue to walk along the path that unfolds before you.
You come to a clearing in the trees. In the middle of the clearing is a large tower. You look upwards to try to see the top of it, but you cannot. The building extends up into the sky and out of sight.
You feel peaceful as you approach the building. This building will allow you to move closer to your Source, discover things about yourself and make changes within your life.
You are already starting to relax even more as you move towards the building. This feels like home to you. There are positive forces that mean you well in this place; they will aid you on your journey and you feel the warmth of their love.
You enter the building through the open door and see an open elevator on the main floor. The building is airy and comfortable. You look around but there is nothing else on this floor. You can still smell the lush forest from outside and air is fresh and easy to breathe.
You step into the elevator. There are many buttons for the many levels but only the first three are lit up. You go to the first floor. The elevator door opens and you see a hallway with many rooms. In each room is an area of your current life. You open the first door and inside is your family. You feel grateful for these people and are happy they are here. No matter what has happened in this area of your life, you know that you will be able to make it better. You feel at peace and know that you can visit this area of your life any time you feel like it.
You decide to leave this room even though it is comfortable. As you leave you feel a great sense of love for your family, and you feel their love for you. You will be able to build on this. The things that are currently negatives in your family life can be made much better, and you find great peace in knowing this.
You go into a second door and in this room is everything that relates to your work. Not everything may be ideal here, or it may. Focus on the good aspects and how you can build on these. Also focus on what you can do to make the negative aspects better, or change the situation. Take as much time as you need to really analyze your current work situation.
As you leave this room, you have a great sense of peace in knowing that you have things to be grateful and you are gaining empowerment to change the things that you do not like.
As you look down the hallway, you see other rooms. One is for your love life, and another is for your friends and social life. There is a room where you can visit your current habits (both good and bad). There are also specific rooms where you can view a specific problem or enjoyable experience. You can enter any one of these rooms you like. Create any room where you feel specific attention is needed, or is a great source of inspiration for you.
Take as much time exploring these rooms, and experiencing your current life as you need. You are at peace now and can view everything with a calm mind. Feel your emotions and listen to your thoughts associated with these things.
You decide to leave this floor knowing that you can come back at any time to see the pleasurable experiences and to reflect on anything you desire about your current life.
You move back to the elevator, and move up to the next floor. You feel yourself rising higher. You begin to feel you are accessing your higher consciousness.
The second floor appears to be same as the first, except you feel much more peaceful here. You feel like all your senses have been heightened. You feel empowered and ready to make changes that you intend for your life.
All the rooms are labeled the same, but now in each room is how you would ideally have each area of your life. Your family life is exactly how you want it. You feel completely loved, and feel nothing but love for others. Take time to explore the room where your ideal family life lies.
When you ready, move to another room. What is happening? What do you see? What has changed? How can you get there? What does your ideal career look like? Your ideal body and health?
Take as much time you need. Explore any room in any area or circumstance in your life that could be more ideal. Feel the great and wonderful sensations attached to seeing, hearing, touching, feeling your ideal life.
You decide it is time to leave this floor for now. You know that you can come back at any time and experience your ideal life. You will be able to shape it in any way you want, and will have vast resources at your disposal to do this.
As you enter the elevator and move up to the third floor you feel yourself rising higher and higher. You are beginning to feel as light as air the higher you move. The elevator door opens and you feel utterly overwhelmed by love, peace, fulfillment, knowledge, wisdom, positivity and light.
You cannot see anything on this floor, yet. On this floor is where you will be able to contact your spirit guides, angels or higher consciousness. This is where you come for guidance for what you are dealing with in your current life, and for the best path to attain the ideal life you intend for yourself.
You know that the more you visit this floor the easier it will become to be in the presence of your higher beings. In this floor your memory is perfect and you can remember all your experiences and learn from them if you want. The more you visit this floor and access your higher consciousness the easier it will become each time you do this exercise, and in your daily life. For now, you are not ready to speak with these beings. When you are, they will manifest for you.
You leave this floor for now, but know you will be able to speak with or have experiences with your guides very soon. You leave with a sense of great peace for you know that you are never alone and can find the answer to anything.
You go back to elevator and return to the main floor. You exit the elevator and walk out of the building. You feel very good about what has happened and what you have experienced.
Spend as much time as you like in this state. When you are ready to let this experience go, simply allow the picture and the sensations to fade away in your mind. When you wake up you will feel refreshed and ready to move on with your day. You will be able to remember all that you experienced, and you will be able to do this again at any time with greater and greater ease.
Bring your awareness back to where you are and allow your normal thoughts to come back to you. Lightly move your body, and when you are ready, open your eyes. You are alert and refreshed.
