We come into this world with a path which we have laid out for ourselves. This includes major things we want to accomplish or overcome, and this is done in our spirit from before we enter this world. In my book (hurry up publishers!) I called it life mapping and I called it that because it is not a destiny. It is not something that will happen on its own, it is something we must create…a map of the world, a map of our life, as we perceive it and how we want to perceive it. We must create a world that we want, in which we will live, regardless of how it currently appears. For as even science is discovering, the world which is perceived is almost nothing like what is actually happening on a most basic level.
Thus, we come into this world expecting to do something profound with our life. We had a vision of what this life would hold, but once we are here it becomes tough to hold that vision. At the time we have this vision we can see the shores where we need to go clearly, but when we enter the world, the turbulence no longer allows us to see that distant shore and so we begin to move in many directions, any direction, seeking a place where we hope we can one day lie in the sun on firm ground.
The turbulence is a creation of our own making. For we enter this world and begin to adopt the assumptions of those that were here before us; the assumption we swore we would not get wrapped up in before this life began. But we do, and that is fine. For it makes the journey to our chosen shores so much more rewarding once we have traveled on turbulent seas. Not that we had to do this – suffering was not something we had to endure. But we have, and it is with us, so it was, and so it is… Perfect.
When we lose sight of our vision of what it is we wanted in this life we open ourselves up many possible ailments including the physical and the mental.
The purpose we feel we have in life is directly related to our health. At times when we have no direction we are very prone to bouts of dis-ease, again, both physical and mental.
No one has ever been healed simply so they could watch more TV…so they could do more of nothing.
When we look at life, what keeps us on this earth and conscious of it, what keeps us here, is a force within us. Life is a force which is kept going by our desire for something, by our desire to create. When the desire starts to flicker, the force within begins to wain. Without something to live for their is no force and we are taken from the world so that we can once again go back to our spirit form to see clearly what it is we wanted to do in this life. This is a choice, whether we are aware of it or not. This is not something to fear, for it is a reconnection with our own vision. But it is also a wake up call, for life is precious, it is a gift, which we have bestowed upon ourselves and we must reconnect with its meaning (to us).
When we have accomplished what needed to be accomplished in this life we will leave this earth so what we can move on to another vision. In the same way if we have completely separated from our vision and lost sight of it, so to shall we leave this earth to reconnect with it.
The next post will be on how we can use our vision, and the information in this note and last to move towards a life in which we experience less pain and suffering. This combines the more zen approach of accepting what is and merging it with creative expectation, or what some might call faith.
It is a based on the idea that in order to ever move forward to a more global awakening we must become awake ourselves. That to heal humanity we must first heal ourselves. That to stop war, famine and excess, we must settle the disputes within, quench the thirst of our true desires and come to terms with our own perceived inadequacies (entirely own creation, and we must realize that we are not inadequate in any way) which create a delusion that we need more.
We are each an evolving self; a story written from the fabric of those before us, but concluding with our own ending as we envision it to be.
