Soul, or No Soul?

So I have gotten side tracked a little bit from the “Healing” posts, and I will post the last article in that series soon, but something else I have been writing on deserves attention.  I have been engaged in a discussion on whether there is a soul, or no soul.  I have taken the side that there is a soul.  But before I get to why I think this, I want you to really consider why it is you believe you have, or don’t have, a soul?

Don’t give yourself simple answers like: I feel it.  Or the Bible says so.  The pastor says.  Everyone seems to think there is a soul.  Or I am different than a computer or a dog.  Or I just know it.  These are all based on assumptions or another persons assumptions.  How do you personally draw evidence to support your belief from any of these assumptions, or other assumptions?  How do you get to the point where you are not assuming the soul exists but actually can factually say it does, and back it up?  Can you get to this point?

This is not supposed to be an attack or should feel like you are being belittled.  If it does feel this way, then likely the evidence for which your beliefs are based are on shaky ground.  If this is the case, you must especially consider this question closely.

Please consider this topic and the questions.  What is it that makes you believe you have a soul?  As you know, I speak with my spirit guides, but even a spirit guide telling me I have a soul is still nothing more than an assumption.  We can not assume what we hear is true, no matter what the source.  A spirit guide will say things to help you, but they cannot be your belief system.  Outside sources provide guidance for finding inner truth, but they are not necessarily truth themselves until we filter it and make it our own.

This question could take you very far down the rabbit hole, depending on how much thought you want to put into it.  The answer you come up with does not matter, there is no right or wrong.

I will post my comments on this soon.  These will be excerpts from the dialogue I am having which in my opinion provide evidence of the soul.
